Dave Norman

Dave Norman leads the Innovation and Technology team within Aircraft Group tasked with delivering new businesses to Moog Inc.  He focuses on team building and establishing an agile framework for taking advantage of innovative technologies from across Moog Inc. and our industry partners to create new capabilities and business opportunities.

Dave’s aerospace technical experience includes a role as design engineer for critical flight control components, serving as the Systems Integrated Product Team lead delivering brand new industry leading power-by-wire flight control actuation systems used on the F-35.   He also has extensive aerospace business experience holding a succession of program and business leadership positions.  These roles included Program Director and Product Line Manager.  Dave held the role of Business Unit General Manager for Military Aircraft 2014 – 2017 responsible for the overall business unit performance including development and production program serving the US and Asia.  He also was key in developing and integrating a Business Unit strategy that led to sustainable growth in capabilities and revenue.

Dave is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of NY and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Control Systems from the University of Buffalo.  He is an instrument rated private pilot with over 700 hours of experience.

Dave and his family reside in Western New York taking advantage of all the year round outdoor activities and opportunities to serve the community.
