Laurence Vigeant-Langlois

 Dr. Laurence Vigeant-Langlois played a key role in launching GE Additive in 2016 and in growing the new business as a leading force in industrial 3D printing. She currently serves as leader of the newly formed Commercial Development team charged with growing the penetration of GE Additive in strategic industry verticals including aerospace, medical, automotive and other industrial sectors. She previously worked as Global Head of Marketing for GE Additive and was responsible for growing the marketing function in field, product and strategic marketing while positioning GE Additive as the industrialization partner of choice for the procurement of additive manufacturing materials, machines and engineering services. 

Before participating in the launch of GE Additive, she worked for GE Aviation as Managing Director, Strategy & Global Marketing where she led a global team supporting GE Aviation’s sale of engines, systems and services across commercial, business and military aviation. Before GE, Dr. Vigeant-Langlois led commercial, product and engineering teams in aerospace and high-tech industries. She launched new engineering innovation programs with helicopter manufacturer Sikorsky Aircraft, gained increasing responsibilities in the purchase of over $9B of aircraft and engines for aircraft lessor CIT (now part of Avolon), led The Weather Company (IBM) through its journey to democratize cockpit weather information, and also transported air freight on Learjets across North America before 9/11. 

She received a BEng from McGill University, and SM and PhD from MIT. She is a commercial pilot and glider instructor, speaks three languages, has published 30 articles and two patents, and received awards from NASA, ESA and the government of Canada. She serves on the steering committee of the GE Women’s Network Cincinnati Hub and has previously served on the boards of IAWA, ATRIF and the MIT Enterprise Forum. She enjoys air, water, land & snow sports with her husband and sons.
