Patrick Lahaie

Patrick is the Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company’s Montréal office. He is also the leader and cofounder of RTS in Canada, McKinsey’s special unit that focuses on holistic performance transformations. He is the lead sponsor for the development of McKinsey’s global Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Montreal.

Patrick has a long standing background in Aerospace. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Ecole Polytechnique and with a MBA from INSEAD. He started his career working with Bombardier in multiple different roles, from Six Sigma Black Belt, Engineering, Program Management and Strategy and Business Development.

Over the past decades, Patrick has led large-scale turnarounds and transformation programs for leading organizations in Aerospace and other sectors, focusing on issues such as strategy and M&A, sales growth, cash & cost containment, operations & supply chain, and more recently digital and analytics.

Patrick’s work at McKinsey has taken him beyond North America to Asia, Australia, and Europe—as well as to China, where he lived from 2006 to 2007. While in China, he helped deepen McKinsey’s expertise in sourcing and manufacturing in low-cost countries.

Patrick is a member of l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and is also deeply involved in the Montreal community. He sits on the executive committee of the Montréal Symphony Orchestra’s board of directors where he presides the strategic planning committee. Every year, he invests time and resources to important pro-bono causes in Montreal, most recently in refreshing Aero-Montreal’s 5 year strategic plan. He is also a former honorary member of the advisory board of the G-20Y Association.
